Dr. Yazan Alkhawam

Dr. Yazan Alkhawam (referred to as Dr. Yaz) graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. For several years after his graduation, he worked within various Emergency Departments throughout the tri-state area where he developed his interest for dentistry.  He pursued his DDS degree at New York University College of Dentistry and became the first dentist in his family. Dr. Yaz completed his general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and gained a strong foundation with periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and esthetics/restorative dentistry. 

Dr. Yaz is a Jersey native who was raised in Kearny, NJ. He currently resides in South Amboy, NJ with his wife and newborn son. He has a passion for cooking that he gets from his father, who is a chef and he loves to play soccer at a competitive level. One of the many things he loves about dentistry is “building a trustworthy relationship with a patient who has a dental phobia by exceeding their expectations and increasing their desire to return to the dental chair by creating an environment that is safe and fun.”
